A church bulletin once contained the following blooper: "Don't beat yourself up. Let the church help." Not well stated, but the sentiment is right. The New Year is a natural time for new ideas, new directions and new approaches to old ideas. It"s about rethinking the patterns of our lives. But as you think about making resolutions and making changes for the better in your life and your relationships, don't forget your relationship to the church community. God has great things in store for MCC Austin in 2010. You can be a part of that.
As you are thinking about the changes you want to make in 2010, think about how good it would feel to be a part of making a real difference in lives and in our world. You are needed in your community in so many ways. Bring your gifts. Connect to our many ministries. Participate more fully in our church community. Make a difference! Remember that the future is in God's hands, but what we accomplish together in 2010 is in yours! Join us in making the light of MCC Austin shine brightly in our community. Happy New Year!
