Questions and Answers to Some Questions Posed by the Congregation

Q - How long do you anticipate the building project to take? (from ground breaking to completion) and When do you anticipate breaking ground?
A - Thank you for submitting your questions to us. Here are the answers that we are able to provide at this time.
  1. We would love to break ground before the end of 2010.
  2. We anticipate the time that we break ground, until we start meeting in our new facility, to be 12-18 months.

David Ferguson - Capital Campaign Co-Manager

Q - Can an MCCA member help in constructing the new building?
A - When bids are released for the new building, the request for proposal will stipulate that MCCA intends to participate in a certain percentage of the construction. Qualified volunteers will be recruited during this process.

Q - When we originally got this property and began to prepare to put a building on the grounds, we were told where we were able to put a main facility which is where our sanctuary currently stands even though we have 10+ acres. Has this situation changed, been eradicated, and will no longer be a stumbling block as far as size, location, etc?
A - The MCCA Building Committee has confirmed with the City of Austin that there are no restrictions on MCCA erecting a new church building on our current acreage.
